AIT 文化中心主任透過視訊向台中的同學介紹美國文化和校園生活 (圖/AIT)

美國文化中心官員Mr. Scott Robinson於11月6日透過視訊會議系統對50位大里高中和修平技術學院的學生演講. Mr. Robinson的演說內容是針對美國社會的多樣, 民主, 變革, 及教育, 和台美間的文化差異. 因為這些學生計劃於Mr. Robinson的演講後隔天去拜訪台中美國資料中心, 美國在台協會資料館專員Ms. Vicky Tsao也同時介紹台中美國資料中心所提供的服務及活動. 之後, 在台協會播放由迪士尼公司與美國政府聯合製作的影片 "歡迎: 美國的寫照". 這段影片描繪出來自各地及各界的美國人民.

On November 6, AIT Cultural Affairs Officer Mr. Scott Robinson talked to 50 Da Li High School and Hsiu Ping College students via Digital Video Conference. Mr. Robinson's talk highlighted the role of diversity, democracy, revolution, and education in U.S. Society, as well as cultural differences between Taiwan and the United States. Because this group of students planned to visit the Taichung American Corner the day after Mr. Robinson's talk, IRC Assistant Vicky Tsao introduced the services and programs of the American Corner as well. The video "Welcome: Portrait of America," produced by the Walt Disney company in partnership with the United States, was also shown. The video features American people from all regions and walks of life.
