台中學生從美國在台協會代副處長身上得到美台經濟關係方面更深得認識 (圖/AIT)

美國在台協會代副處長, 陶艾倫, 於2010年10月13日, 拜訪國立台中技術學院, 並受到500位商學院學生的熱烈歡迎.

在國貿系林佳勳 系主任的簡短開場白之後, 陶代副處長針對美台進出口資料, 及台美貿易投資架構協定 (TIFA) 為題, 發表一篇中文演說. 其中, TIFA 內容包含了農業, 醫藥, 智慧財產權, 及科學和商業上的雙邊合作.

演說之後, 陶 代副處長回答許多問題, 包括TIFA 及自由貿易協定 (FTA) 的差異, 為何在去年台灣於資訊科技產業的排名下滑, 在中國產業過度集中的影響, 及網路資源中的商業數据.

Taichung Students Gain Insights on US-Taiwan Economic Relationship from AIT Acting Deputy Director

The Acting AIT Deputy Director Alan Tousignant visited National Taichung Institute of Technology and received a warm welcome from 500 business students. After the brief opening remarks by the Director of the Department of International Trade -- Dr. Lin Chia-hsun, he then gave a presentation in Chinese on U.S. -Taiwan import and export data and issues under TIFA such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and intellectual property rights, and bilateral cooperation in science and business. Following his talk, ADDIR answered several questions on the differences between TIFA and FTA, why Taiwan's ranking in IT dropped last year, the impact of industrial concentration in China and Web resources on trade data.
